Just a Note: As much as I disagree with our President politically, I support our President in our fight against the terrorist. In the light of recent attacks on our country we all need to come together as Americans, regardless of political party. This does not mean we cannot disagree with one another. I hope and pray that our President has the courage and wisdom necessary to win this war, if he does not God help us all.

I am what you call a Yellow Dog Democrat. What is a Yellow Dog Democrat? Well that is simple, no matter who was running as a Republican I would not vote for him or her. Even if the Democrats were running a yellow dog, I would still vote for the dog. A bit extreme you say, well it is not as extreme as the Republican Party. The Democratic Party is the only party who looks out for the average guy. They have a genuine concern for the education of our children and the environment in which we live. 

In 1992 the Republicans said if Bill Clinton was elected the economy would crash and burn. They said the National Debt would skyrocket. They said crime would explode. Well I guess they were wrong. Under the Clinton Administration this country enjoyed the longest economic expansion in history. The federal budget has a surplus and FBI figures show crime has fallen. Military spending is at one of the highest peace time levels in United States history. Do you think I would be writing all this if George Bush had won in 1992? I don't think so.

I do have some differences of opinion with our former President. I was not in favor of NAFTA. I felt his behavior in the sex scandal was unacceptable and indefensible. I also feel that Kenneth Star overstepped his duties as the Whitewater independent prosecutor. What in the world does Monica have to do with white water? 

Now our new President has succeeded in passing a massive tax cut that mostly helps the top 10%. The economy is on the verge of recession and our country will be spending billions of dollars in the relief efforts in NY and Washington. We will be spending billions more in our war against terrorism and Iraq. When G.W. Bush became president the Congressional Budget Office predicted that the national debt would be paid off in 2008. With a new round of tax cuts for the wealthy, our failing economy, and wars around the world; the national debt is exploding to record levels never seen before. Our children will be paying off this president’s debt long after we are gone. I would rather our country have a balanced budget than a tax cut, that mostly benefits the rich.
