Why are the attack dogs all over Edwards? I will tell you why, it is because they are scared of him. Edwards is a young, attractive, articulate, family man, with a lot of pizzazz, who isn’t afraid to say the emperor isn’t wearing any clothes. Edwards will appeal to the young voters, the soccer moms, the trade unionists, blacks, and southerners. The addition of Edwards to the ticket puts several formally safe southern Republican states back in to play. This will force the Bush campaign to spend millions on states they once considered “in the bag”. This force Bush to take money and time away from the critical battleground states.
