Why terrorist want Bush to win.

1. With our Army stretched to the breaking point, we can not adequately defend our other interests
2. The war in Iraq has turned even moderate Arabs against America and made it easier to recruit new terrorist
3. With the astronomical Republican budget deficit we can not adequately fund our first responders
4. With the astronomical Republican budget deficit we can not adequately fund airline security
5. With the astronomical Republican budget deficit we can not adequately fund our port security
6. With the astronomical Republican budget deficit we can not adequately fund our immigration department
7. With the astronomical Republican budget deficit we can not adequately fund our intelligence departments
8. With the astronomical Republican budget deficit we can not adequately fund border security
9. Bush does not follow thru with anything – like when he had Bin Laden pined downed in Tora Bora
10. Bush gives the real countries that support terrorism a pass (ie. Iran, Sudan, Saudi Arabia etc…..)
11. Bush does not read - example he evidently did not read the PDB titled Bin Laden determined to strike in the US
12. Bush does not meet with the CIA or FBI director on a regular basis
13. Bush alienates our allies and the rest of the world, so we have to fight the terrorist on our own
14. Like the boy who cried wolf – the world will never believe America as long as Bush is President
15. And the top reason the terrorist want Bush to win is that Americans can not figure out the stupid terror alert level.

This election is for the sole of our nation

The opening night of the Democratic Convention was a big success. The speeches by the former Presidents drew sharp differences between John Kerry and George Bush. In the words of former President Carter this election is for the sole of our nation.

Republicans Helping Nader to Help Themselves

The Michigan Republican Party submitted more than 40,000 signatures last week in a bid to get independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader on the state's November ballot.
Of course, this is not really about helping Nader. It is all about helping President Bush and hurting Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry's campaign in a closely contested state.
The Michigan GOP denies that, of course. Matt Davis, a spokesman for the group, said it was merely concerned about third-party candidates being left off the ballot. He could not name, however, another third-party or independent candidate his party has helped. (From By Brian Faler- Washington Post)

US casualty rate high since handover

WASHINGTON -- Nearly as many US soldiers lost their lives in Iraq in the first half of July as in all of June, even as Iraqi insurgents seem to have shifted focus from attacking US targets to aiming instead at Iraqi security forces and government officials.
The relatively high rate of US military casualties has dimmed hope that the handover of power to the Iraqi government would help stabilize the country and reduce pressure on US soldiers.
Since the June 28 handover of power, the 160,000 coalition forces have averaged more than two deaths a day, among the highest rate of losses since the war began 15 months ago. By Saturday, 36 US soldiers had died this month, compared with 42 last month (from a story By Bryan Bender – The Boston Globe)

Republican Ex-EPA Chief Criticizes Bush

The head of the Environmental Protection Agency for two Republican presidents criticized President Bush's record on Monday, calling it a "polluter protection" policy. Russell E. Train, who headed the EPA from September 1973 to January 1977 — part of the Nixon and Ford administrations — said Bush's record on the environment was so dismal that he would cast his vote for Democrat John Kerry. (Source By ERIK STETSON, Associated Press writer). It is pretty bad when Republicans say you are bad on the environment.

Cheney Slams Lawyers on campaign trail

Dick Cheney in a effort to undermine the credibility of VP candidate slammed lawyers in a speech. It seems funny that Cheney would attack the very profession who secured the presidency for his boss. The Bush – Cheney team sent a army of lawyers to Florida in 2000 to contest the election and due to the fact that they had better lawyers than Al Gore; Bush won a Supreme Court bid which handed him the election.

Cheney Insists He Will Run with Bush

There is good news coming out of the Bush/Cheney camp. The good news is that Cheney Insists He Will Run with Bush. Cheney is about a popular as a good case of jock itch. If Bush was smart he would dump Cheney and tap John McCain or Rudy Giuliani. Bush’s decision to keep Cheney on the ticket can only be good news for John Kerry.

Bush runs from “Kenny Boy”

The indictment of President Bush's one-time friend and financial backer Kenneth Lay put the spotlight back on Bush's ties to big corporate donors as he heads into the final months of the U.S. presidential campaign. Democrats seized on the indictment of the man nicknamed 'Kenny Boy' by Bush to attack the president's personal and financial ties to Enron, including suggesting the criminal action had been delayed. Poll shows that Bush's credibility on Iraq slipping

A new pole now shows that more Americans now believe that President Bush deliberately mislead the public to make his case for the war in Iraq. I wonder what makes the public to believe the Bush lied. It couldn’t be because we found those stock piles of WMD’S? Or how about all those mobile bio-chemical labs we found? I bet it might be that nuclear weapons program we uncovered.

The attack dogs are allover Edwards

Why are the attack dogs all over Edwards? I will tell you why, it is because they are scared of him. Edwards is a young, attractive, articulate, family man, with a lot of pizzazz, who isn’t afraid to say the emperor isn’t wearing any clothes. Edwards will appeal to the young voters, the soccer moms, the trade unionists, blacks, and southerners. The addition of Edwards to the ticket puts several formally safe southern Republican states back in to play. This will force the Bush campaign to spend millions on states they once considered “in the bag”. This force Bush to take money and time away from the critical battleground states. Kerry picks Edwards

Today John Kerry picked John Edwards as his Vice Presidential running mate. I felt this was the strongest choice he could have made. Edwards is very articulate, attractive, family man who will appeal to most Americans. He is just what the doctor ordered. The Kerry campaign has needed a clear fresh voice to help spread the core beliefs of the campaign.  Kerry has been receiving a tag team beating from Cheney and Bush. Now Kerry will have a credible partner to help get his message out, and someone to help him deflect the daily misinformation spread by the Bush campaign.

Want to hear something funny?

Vice President Dick Cheney said on Thursday the Bush administration's war on terrorism had brought "decisive and relentless action" against extremists and said the world and America were safer because of it. Cheney also blamed Bill Clinton for terrorism. This administration never does anything wrong, they are not responsible for anything, so I guess Bill Clinton is responsible for the current record high budget deficits. Auto Sales Skid to Nearly Six-Year Low

Reuters reported that Auto Sales Skid to Nearly Six-Year Low. I guess the drop in auto sales, along with the increase in unemployment claims for the third week in a row shows that the Bush economic recovery is in high gear.
